TNA Wrestling star Bobby Lashley says he would "strongly consider" an exclusive deal with the Strikeforce MMA promotion, which would put an end to his TNA career.
Lashley states TNA knew from the outset that he could become an exclusive MMA athlete at any time.
"If it does come to a point where you have to choose, then I'll have to sit back and talk with my family. I want to fight," Lashley said in a recent interview. "TNA is at the understanding where they know my dedication with fighting. If (Strikeforce CEO Scott) Coker comes back and says you have to quit wrestling, then we'll have to cross that bridge."
Lashley says he joined TNA because he needed money and wanted to continue being part of the wrestling business. TNA offered him a good deal to do work a limited schedule and cover his expenses training in-between fights.
Lashley's last MMA fight was on June 27th when he beat Bob Sapp. Lashley says he was talked to Strikeforce about appearing on their fight card this past Saturday on CBS, but he decided he didn't have enough time to get ready for the fight.
