It has been confirmed that UFC champ Brock Lesnar is suffering from mononucleosis.
Otherwise known as Pfeiffer's disease or the "kissing disease," mononucleosis is a very infectious, widespread disease caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, which is a type of Herpes virus.
UFC has canceled the Lesnar vs Carwin fight which was supposed to headline UFC 106 and had instead moved it to UFC 108 for the January 2, 2010 show. Now, however, it looks as though the fight is being pushed back even further.
UFC President Dana White acknowledged that he isn't sure if the company will pick up that fight right away once Lesnar is healthy or if they will find another opponent for Carwin in the meantime.
"We’re still trying to figure it out and I’m really not sure where any of it stands right now," White said.
