A former police officer in Indiana has been convicted of theft and misconduct for allegedly pocketing money collected by a man who sold fake autographs.
Prosecutors say a promoter allegedly duped wrestling fans into buying autographs and photos from a man impersonating wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at a WalMart store about 40 miles southeast of Indianapolis.
The police officer supposedly on the case pocketed the money for himself instead of solving the crime.
